Description
This is the original deep-groove RVG-stamped “P”-stamped Plastylite test pressing of Horace Silver “Finger Poppin’” on the West 63rd (stamped) labels of Blue Note BLP 4008. The hybrid-rim (flat/beaded) playing surface is in beautiful condition throughout, with a high luster; a needle drop on Side 2 Track 2 is lightly audible for a few revolutions. What makes this pressing all the more interesting is that it is from Leonard Feather's personal collection. The accompanying inner sleeve has Alfred Lion’s handwritten note to Leonard at the top, and a taped memo (Lion’s memo pad mis-spells his own name!) with the set list. Feather’s comments are handwritten in red ink. No art cover, as issued. Personnel include Blue Mitchell, Junior Cook, Gene Taylor, and Louis Hayes. WE NOW ACCEPT PAYPAL. However, you can continue to pay directly to us using VISA, MasterCard or Discover credit cards, if you prefer.
