Original Italian promo pressing on RCA ORIGINAL CAST label (TBBO 1070), from 1974. Cult Italian poliziesco themes from the sleazy and ultra-violent cops 'n' robbers thriller, IL Cittadino Si Ribella. A film directed by Enzo G. Castellari starring Franco Nero / Giancarlo Prete / Barbara Bach and Renzo Palmer. Killer psychedelic lounge funk with congas / fender rhodes stabs / hammond / Timmy Thomas cum Umiliani IL Corpo inspired synth licks / groovy guitar distortions / vocals sung in broken English by the mysterious Guy and thumping B-boy drum skills on the stoned DRIVIN' ALL AROUND side. GOODBYE MY FRIEND is more spacey and delirious with hippie vocal duo, Susi and Guy singing over aggressive rock orchestrations with hip hop beats / fuzzed-up synthesizers and psychedelic wah wah. This is the theme heard in the 2010 film, Faster, directed by George Tillman Jr starring Dwayne Johnson. Both sides of this obscure 7-inch were also comped on Beretta 70 by the Crippled Dick Hot Wax label. Booming production sound. Great for DJs. A personal favourite of the genre with that mid '70s Italian hippie - underground - counter culture sound :) This is the desirable promotional issue too. Tres cool picture sleeve artwork showing lead actor, Franco Nero. Rare OST 45!!!

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition with a few hairlines and scuffs from storage. Some light surface noises. A few soft pops / soft ticks in places (as you can hear on our soundclip). Booming production sound. Item taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played once for the recording of our soundclip. The soft card picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition with a little creasing and some ring dirt marks from storage. Natural age discoloration. Minimal, light corner wear and a touch of wear to the right side of the bottom edge. Rare OST 45!!!
