On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Incredible String Band called "Wee Tam & The Big Huge" and is an INCREDIBLY rare 1968 UK MONO 1st pressing!!! THIS IS A MASSIVELY RARITY AS A VERY 1ST PRESSING!!!!  HOWEVER THERE ARE 2 REASONS WHY THIS DOUBLE LP IS MUCH RARER THAN MOST OTHER 1ST PRESSINGS!!!!  FIRSTLY THIS DOUBLE LP STILL HAS ITS INCREDIBLY RARE INSERT!!!!  AND SECONDLY THIS DOUBLE LP IS MONO!!!!  I HAVE FOUND 5 OR 6 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP BEFORE - BUT ALL WERE STEREO - AND THIS IS THE VERY FIRST TIME I HAVE FOUND A MONO!!!!  IN MY EXPERIENCE MONO 1ST PRESSINGS ARE FAR FAR RARER THAN STEREO 1ST PRESSINGS AND ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS THE VERY 1ST PRESSING OF THIS DOUBLE LP ON THE ORANGE 'TEXTURED' ELEKTRA LABELS, FULLY LAMINATED E.J.DAY GATEFOLD COVER, 'PATENTS APPLIED FOR' DIE-CUT INNER SLEEVES, AND ITS ORIGINAL MEGA RARE INSERT!!!!  NOT ONLY THIS BUT THE MATRIX ENDINGS ARE THE VERY 1ST MONO MATRIXES WITH A1/B1 A1/B1 MATRIX ENDINGS!!!!  THIS HAS TO BE REGARDED AS ONE OF THE VERY RAREST INCREDIBLE STRING BAND LPS - ESPECIALLY IN MONO!!!!  DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLY RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is an ORIGINAL 1968 Elektra MONO 1st Pressing, and is very VERY hard to find indeed!!!! The Cat. No is EKL 4036/7 on the ORIGINAL 'textured' Orange Elektra label (see picture) and is a MONO 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Incredible String Band at their best!!!! Any fan of Incredible String Band or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!

The Side 2, Side 3 and Side 4 record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO writing, NO wear and only a few spindle marks!!!!  The Side 1 label is almost as STUNNING - with just a few spots of grubbyness!!!!  The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition. Most of these LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and I will grade this record visually Side by Side and mention the playing grade at the end of the visual descriptions.  Side 1 has NO scratches, NO hairlines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  Side 1 must grade visually FULL Excellent!!!!  Side 2 has NO scratches, 1 slightly more obvious looking hairline (non sounding), 1 MEGA light hairline (non sounding), and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  Side 2 must grade visually Very Good++ if not better!!!!  Side 3 has NO scratches, NO hairlines, only 1 MEGA light wispy scuffline (NON sounding) and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! Side 3 must grade visually FULL Excellent if not better!!!!  Side 4 has NO scratches, NO hairlines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! Side 4 must grade visually FULL Excellent if not better!!!! ALL SIDES OF THE RECORD STILL HAVE EVERY BIT OF THEIR ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!!  IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE TO FIND A MONO 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP IN THIS CONDITION!!!!  It is also great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!! It plays with NO pops, NO jumps, NO sticks, and NO crackle!!!! When playing this record through - I was AMAZED at the stunning clarity of the CRYSTAL CLEAR sound!!!!  All sides play SUPERBLY and QUIETLY and the only thing I noticed was some background noise towards the beginning of Side 2 (ONLY) - though it doesnt affect the CLARITY of the music in the slightest!!!!  The rest of side 2 and Sides 1, 3 and 4 play AMAZINGLY quietly with NO crackle!!!!  The playing grades of Sides 1, 3 & 4 must be FULL Excellent - with Side 2 overall slightly less at Very Good++ if not better!!! THIS LP IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND MONO AND IS INCREDIBLY RARE!!!! Believe me these records are NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The records also come in their ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeves!!!! THE MEGA INSERT IS IN PERFECT CONDITION - AND HAS CLEARLY NEVER BEEN OUT OF THE COVER!!!!  The FULLY LAMINATED E.J.Day 1st Press MONO Gatefold Cover is in STUNNING condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO ringwear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear, only a VERY few light creases and NO writing!!!! It is also a STUNNING White colour and NOT 'yellowed' like so many others!!!!  The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the inside is in STUNNING condition with NO grubbyness, NO wear, NO yellowing, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade FULL Excellent if not better and is REALLY tough to find in this condition!!!!  IT IS EXTREMELY RARE TO FIND A COMPLETE MONO 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP!!!!  SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS EXTREMELY RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
