WOW!!! For sale is an incredibly rare BEAUTIFUL GENUINE Variant 2 in incredibly rare Stereo still in its original baggy shrink wrap in a Mono sleeve with an almost never seen STEREOPHONIC sticker!! These hardly ever come up for sale so this may be your only chance to grab this beautiful RARE variant!! I guarantee it’s authenticity 100% and I will describe how below. Passes every single authenication test! I almost exclusively list using BIN OBO but am putting this one to auction as so few examples have been sold to price this...so bid away and bid with confidence that this is exactly as described.

This disc and label match exactly as it should...contains everything etched and stamped exactly as it is described in this variant...

(Type-1) With "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES," centered titles and credits, including the "Coffin-King" typo, and "Microgroove" and "Long Playing" on the label. "STEREO" appears at 12 o’clock. The trail off areas of the record have the hand-etched initials “URJ” and the date 1-24-64 on both sides and the matrix number S 63-3402-1 on Side I and S 63-3403-1 on Side II. The machine stamped Audio Matrix and "ARP" logos also appear on both sides. The record was manufactured by ARP.

Sleeve: EX

GORGEOUS sleeve still in original baggy shrink wrap. Sharp opening edges and corners, very little wear with the only flaws to report being some “age spotting” on rear and a tiny wear spot on lower right hand corner of front slick where shrink has not fully protected it. (see pics) Fully legible spine with NO damage.

This is a repurposed Mono sleeve with MEGA RARE STEREOPHONIC sticker. Variant 2 column back with Please, Please Me comma error. When Vee-Jay ran out of the Stereo banner sleeves, they repurposed Mono sleeves by either stamping Stereo on the sleeve or by placing once of two sticker variants- a gold one and this white rectangular STEREOPHONIC 1” x 2 1/2” sticker usually found in the lower left as is the case with this one. Even a regular Mono sleeve is almost impossible to find in this condition let alone a repurposed Stereo sleeve with this sticker!!

Disc: VG (conservative visual grading) VG+ Audio Grade!

Beautiful glossy sheen on thick vinyl with deep microgrooves! Superb Stereo disc with some light superficial scuffs and very light non sounding scratches. Again, these are very light and this record plays with bright, crisp stereo sound! Would benefit from a professional clean no doubt...some definite crackling between tracks and during the quietest parts but would most definitely benefit from a professional clean. It doesn’t overpower the bright, crisp Stereo sound!! An incredibly enjoyable listen. I noticed a few occasional very quiet odd pops here and there but ABSOLUTELY NO skips, stalls or jumps. Beautiful sound!! VG+ Audio Grade!! NO deterioration in audio from overplay that is almost always present on these. Wonderful bass and clear treble!! Quite remarkable!!! The audio is FAR better on these early Vee-Jay pressings than on any Capitol release that came later in my opinion.

Rare in itself is this original “advertising” Gospel inner sleeve is in decent condition save for a split down one side, the bottom and some light creasing. Having the correct rare original advertising “Gospel” inner sleeve completes this record!!

Professional crisp printing with perfect coloring and glossy slicks.

Most importantly, inside the sleeve is a 1/4” flap glued from the front which is the ultimate test that NO counterfeit is known to possess.

Label contains The Beatles ABOVE the spindle hole and the colorband blends seamlessly into the next color also containing the color green.

Label has STEREO at the 12 o’clock position. No known counterfeit contains the word Stereo on the label.

Dead wax/Runout is under 1”

Contains machine stampings of ARP and AudioMatrix (although light which is very common, they are clearly there) Again no counterfeit is known to contain ANY machine stamping. More info on spotting fakes can easily be found by a simple Google search but not many known Variant 2 Stereo counterfeits were made in general even.

This is an INCREDIBLE copy of this MONSTER RARITY which you will be hard pressed to find ANY other copy of let alone one this nice!!
