Introducing Wilton "Bogey" Gaynair - Blue Bogey UK 1st Tempo TAP 25 1959 Rare LP
*From the large collection of an esteemed musicologist and audiophile who spent some time working for EMI
Exceptionally Rare and sought after UK 1st pressing on the Tempo Grooved label, 1959. TAP 25
Featuring Terry Shannon on Piano, Kenny Napper on Bass and Bill Eyden on Drums - a truly magnificent album!
Visually under bright light the vinyl has some light play traces and paper scuffs, and visually looks VG++/EX-
I have professionally cleaned the album on an Okki Nokki machine, and played the album in its entirety. The audio through MY SYSTEM is superb - loud, bright and clear. The depth and tone is outstanding as is synonymous with the Tempo label. There are NO repetitive clicks and there is no surface noise. There are some light ticks and the occasional light click here and there (particularly in quieter passages/ between tracks), but all in all it is a very enjoyable listening experience and a fantastic album all in all. I would grade side 1 as EX. Side 2 I would grade Near EX (EX-). Another clean may further improve the audio.
The Labels have a handful of spindle traces to either side. But are otherwise clean EX
The sleeve has some minor wear to the laminate, around the spine in particular. And some other minor wear but is a nice solid copy - see photos EX-/EX.
