TEMPO TAP25 WILTON "BOGEY" GAYNAIR 4 'Blue Bogey'

The ultra rare quartet album by this African-Caribbean saxophone player - possibly the rarest of the Tempo 12" LPs. The musicians taking part were; WILTON GAYNAIR (ts), TERRY SHANNON (p), KENNY NAPPER (b) and BILL EYDEN (d). It was recorded by TONY HALL in London on August 26th 1959 and issued by Tempo in the same year. This is a first UK pressing with purple/white label and flipback cover.

CONDITION/DESCRIPTION: Disc is EtoE+ (VG+toVG++) with some very light scuffs, visible under a bright 'grading' light. There are also a few light marks. These cause very little effect on the playing. There are also a number of small brown stains on the labels. The cover is E (VG+) with minor corner damage to the bottom right hand side and a few small breaks in the spine. There is also some surface dirt to the top of the front. At least some of this should clean off.
