Description
Up for auction is an EXTREMELY rare Iron Maiden record. It is a plain white cover with three decals on it. The largest reads:
"DEMONSTRATION RECORD
For Airplay only - not for sale
Side A / Mono - Side B / Stereo
1.) Murders in the rue Morgue
2.) Wrathchild
3.) Run to the hills
4.) Children of the damned
live recording from Palladium, New York 6/29/82
Limited edition of 300 copies in clear vinyl"
The 'clear vinyl' description is curious, because as you can see, the vinyl color here is a CRAZY marble/multicolored pattern. I have seen copies of this record on clear vinyl, but never on this color(s). I played the record (carefully, of course!), and the track list is correct. This mystery is perhaps partially explained by the orange sticker, which reads "Limited Edition for Hardcore Fanatics! Surprise Vinyl." An ultra-limited edition within a limited edition? I don't know, but maybe--it is more expensive to get multi-colored vinyl pressed than clear, so they clearly spared no expense with this one.
Needless to say, this is a pretty awesome record.
The cover is VG+ with some brown spotting and a few small places on the back where the paper gloss has torn off.
The vinyl itself is in EXCELLENT condition

Well, I guess that’s it. If you have any questions, ask away, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Good luck!
