JAMES JONES READING FROM FROM HERE TO ETERNITY (Calliope 7" vinyl record, 1963)
Boston: Calliope Records, 1963. Original 7" 33 1/2 rpm vinyl record. Fine in an unprinted paper sleeve in a near fine pictorial cardboard sleeve with a couple of tiny flecks of colour scrape on the front cover.
15:21 playing time.
Jones reads the passage in which Prewitt blows Taps on Andy's bugle; the recording studio was impressed with Jones's performance, (from the sleeve notes): "his reading will be as unforgettable as was that scene in the novel. His voice is extraordinary; it has the same roughness, virility and compassion that made his novel so compelling."
Very hard to find, only produced in small numbers and not (to my knowledge) ever re-released in any other formats.
Condition - SLEEVE: fine. VINYL: Near mint.
