JETHRO TULL - STAND UP LP
Ultra Rare 1969 1st Press!!!
with Original Pink Island Eye

Here we have a very RARE LP by the Great JETHRO TULL called STAND UP. This reached no.1 in the British Charts. The Original Gatefold album cover opens out to show a pop-up cut out of the band designed by artist James Grashow (see pics).

This album is the 2nd album from Jethro Tull and represents the first album on which Ian Anderson had full control over the music and lyrics. This was due to the original guitarist Mick Abrahams leaving the band due to musical differences. As such the album goes in a different direction than his earler work and shows influences from celtic, classical and folk music. This is one of the RAREST and HARDEST LPS TO FIND since when it was first released it only sold in very small quantities and then deleted. So, today it is very hard to find one of these FIRST & ORIGINAL Pressings!!!

This is an ORIGINAL 1st PRESSING from 1969 with the textured PINK ISLAND Circle label.

The LP has the TEXTURED PINK LABEL as well as the ORIGINAL PINK ISLAND EYE which is pink, black & orange (see pics) and is EXTREMELY RARE to find as they changed their logo soon after (I believe in the same year). This is the original early logo.

There is no additional stamps (mother stampers) on either side A or B - This is very collectable and rare to find. Only on the earliest of pressings will there be no other stampers after the A and B. (Later pressings will have A1 or B1)
