The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced
Track Record 612001 First Mono UK pressing
Matrix numbers: 612001 A1, 612001 B1
A true original first pressing of Hendrix’s legendary first album complete with original inner sleeve and, with vinyl in excellent/near mint condition (extremely rare). This is one of the rarest 1st pressing albums in the world and also an all-time absolute rock classic!
Vinyl: Both sides are in EX+ /NM condition. There are only a few light paper scuffs per and even under a bright lamp no scratches can be seen; there are no skips or pops, and playability and sound quality is superb throughout. This vinyl condition is extremely rare for a first pressing of this particular album and it is likely that it has only been played a handful of times in 40 years.
Sleeve & labels: The album has the original E J Day Patent Pending outer laminated sleeve and is in good condition. There is some light wear along the spine (no rips or tearing etc) and some moderate creasing of the laminate cover. The colour photo cover is bright and fresh as new. The presence of some moderate wear and creasing would probably result in an overall sleeve condition grading of VG. The original inner sleeve is also present in good condition with Patent No. 800513 & 973939 in blue ink. The original black and silver Track Record labels are clear and fresh with no visible wear; however, the owner’s name has been written in along the silver bar of the “T”; this is faint and in small lettering although it is visible (may be possible to remove with solvent).
This is a very rare opportunity to buy a first pressing of the first and best Hendrix album with the vinyl in outstanding condition. Good luck with bidding!
