 In 2000, Joe Bonamassa finished work on his debut solo album, A New Day Yesterday. With his newfound vocal confidence, the disc featured appearances by such respected players as Gregg Allman, Rick Derringer, and Leslie West. The album's producer, legendary Tom Dowd, had, in the course of his 25-year career at Atlantic Records, recorded with such greats as Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart, John Coltrane, Ornette Coleman, among countless others. Dowd quickly became a Joe fan and friend.

 The memorable melodies and potent guitar work of A New Day Yesterday brought to mind the classic blues-based rock of Cream, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Jeff Beck Group, and the Allman Brothers Band. The album included outstanding originals such as "Miss You, Hate You" and the slide guitar showcase "Cradle Rock," along with a powerhouse version of the title song "A New Day Yesterday," first recorded by Jethro Tull in 1969.

Blues-rock star Joe Bonamassa presents Tour De Force "Live In London," an unprecedented live concert recorded in 2013 at some of the most famous and iconic venues in London: Royal Albert Hall, Hammersmith Apollo, Shepherd's Bush Empire and The Borderline.

Live In London captures Bonamassa reliving, revisiting and redefining the many phases and pivotal moments throughout his career during the course of four evenings, from the intimate club environment of The Borderline, to the prestigious Royal Albert Hall. Each evening was marked by a unique theme with different setlists, arrangements and ensembles providing the viewer with four unique performances. More than 60 new and old songs were performed during the four nights.

Unlike previous Bonamassa live concerts, which featured Eric Clapton, John Hiatt, Paul Rodgers and Beth Hart, Bonamassa's special guests for these four shows weren't musicians, but instead, a small collection of the world's most renowned guitars: Rory Gallaher's 1961 Fender Stratocaster, Bernie Marsden's 1959 Gibson Les Paul and the Peter Greene/Gary Moore 1959 Gibson Les Paul.

Joe’s salute to the icons of British blues features the unbelievable music of Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page! Joe recently paid tribute to his heroes during a short but very sweet tour of Britain 5 performances only. This show was recorded at Greenwich Music Time at The Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London on July 7, 2016.

Joe Bonamassa has been more influenced by the impact of British Blues than by any other music out there. From a young age, the musically inclined Joe fell in love with the hard-rocking, gritty, and pioneering sound that emanated from early 1960’s Britain.

Joe’s admiration for legends Clapton, Beck, and Page reaches far deeper than any other musician from this influential era. For the first time, with this unforgettable performance, he was able to give special homage to the British guitarists who inspired him the most.

The five-piece band included Michael Rhodes (Bass), Reese Wynans (Keyboards), Anton Fig (Drums) and Russ Irwin (Rhythm Guitar & Backing Vocals).

Bonamassa passionately believes in the need for this and future generations of blues musicians to continue to explore the music of these three icons of blues history. If it wasn't for certain British musicians of the early 1960s, the Blues may very well never have exploded into Rock music as we know it today, and indeed may have passed into history, says Joe.

The explosion of British Blues that occurred in the 1960s built an essential bridge between the blues and rock music, two forms of popular music that have meant so much to so many people over the last century.

When one thinks of the similarities between British Blues powerhouses Clapton, Beck, and Page, one is almost immediately drawn to think of the fact that they all held tenure in one of the most important  the most important, according to some people blues bands that came out of Britain, The Yardbirds. However, the connection between these three guitarists lies so much deeper. Joe Bonamassa's new album "Muddy Wolf at Red Rocks" features his incredible concert from August 31, 2014 which took place at the famous and drop-dead gorgeous Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The show is a spectacular celebration of the music of Muddy Waters and Howlin Wolf, featuring many of the two blues legends greatest songs and a few Bonamassa classics.

Material for the show was primarily sourced from the catalogs of Howlin Wolf, one of the most influential Chicago bluesmen of all time, known for his deep, scratchy voice, and Muddy Waters, considered the “father of modern Chicago blues and a major inspiration for the British blues explosion of the 1960s, a genre that Bonamassa grew up with and that influences his own music to this day. This album is not to be missed!
