"OCTOBER WOMAN" - - MICHAEL GARRICK QUINTET - - ARGO DA33 (MONO) - - ANOTHER MEGA RARE BRITJAZZ ORIGINAL LP FROM THE AWESOMEE MICHAEL GARRICK 5 !!! - - The excellent flipback cover, with superb all over lamination, has no splits or tears, just miniscule corner wear on a couple of corners, (see photo's), in addition all the sleeve notes are perfectly crisp and clear!!! - - The disc is NOT, I repeat, NOT a copy for the audiophile, due to the tics and surface noise in odd places, but it still makes for an awesome jazz listening experience!!! - - the music is nothing less than magnificent!!! - - This is a quintet of Britjazz giants playing oustanding Britjazz at it's highest quality!!! - - Led by master musician, pianist, composer and arranger, Mike Garrick, with the brilliant Joe Harriott on alto, his equally brilliant countryman, Shake Keane on trumpet, Coleridge Goode on bass and the exquisite hands of Colin Barnes in the drum spot, this is a session to die for!!! - - All 10 superb compositions are Garrick originals and include: The brilliant, "Seven Pillars", the outatanding, free, "Anthem", "Sketches of Israel", "Little Girl", plus 6 more brilliantly performed numbers!!! - - For those of you that do not know of this quintet and Garricks outstanding work, this is a must and of course, so mega, mega rare!!! - - In addition, I have to make special mention on the performances of both Harriott and Keane, I'm sure you will find their individual performances as moving as I did !! - - Started as usual with no reserve, thankyou for your interest and good luck!!! - - £14.99
