This is FIRST edition, 1967, “RVG” stamped, Deep Groove, P pressing of JOHN JENKINS’ “John Jenkins Kenny Burrell” on the "47 West 63rd” labels of Blue Note BLP 1573.
VINYL plays well, clean-- as in no consistent surface noise--but pops and ticks are consistent and quite a few repeat, moreso on Side 1 then Side 2. But as with all well-cared-for older Blue Notes, ensemble sections are dynamic and clear. Pops and ticks are present, but not deter significantly from the music. No Skips. No distortion. Very good gloss. A handful of non feelable hairline marks. The “47 West 63rd” labels are clean. See photos.Second pressing COVER is in excellent shape, corners worn. Cut corner. Back jacket shows inked corners, writing. Please see photos.
