Description

Not going to waste time saying it’s got dogear stamps or groove depth or address. It’s all in the pics

I don’t know how to start the description of this LP, so forgive me as I stumble through this. I’ve had it in my collection for a very long time. So long I’ve no idea where I got it or when. Only recently have I actually played it simply because I was curious about it. So you know, I use a Sony PS-X600 turntable and a Denon DL-103 or, if I’m feeling like going nuts, I’ll put on my Grace F-9e. I take great pride in setting up my carts and my table. I also clean each record before play, though sometimes it’s a light clean if it’s a record I’ve listened to recently. Anyway, I was surprised at how good it sounded given the age and the visible light wear. When I flipped it over, I noticed a scratch and wondered how much I’d hear it. I heard it. It’s a light tick or pop that lasts about 3 1/2-4 mins after around the 3rd minute of play. It’s not loud and it’s not horrible, but if one pays attention, it will be noticed. Once past the scratch, the rest of the record sounds rather nice, just like the first side. After the first play, any other time I played it, side one sounded good and so did most of side two. From everything I’ve researched, I’d grade this a very conservative VG for both the LP and Jacket. The LP lives in a MoFi sleeve and the jacket in a plastic sleeve. The jacket looks pretty good in the front and a little spotty in the back. I’ve stopped whatever was happening on the back, but it was there when I got it. It’s really not as bad as the pics make it look. Same with most every pic, I really tried to highlight any concerns.

Once I decided to sell it, I realized how collectible(dang expensive) it is and I’ve waited months to actually list it. I researched as much as possible before finally making a full pure unadulterated recording of it which is available for you to hear, hopefully from a click within this listing. Please know that I’ve never been able to get it cleaned with a VPI or any top notch record cleaner. I use a mixer of distilled water(95-ish%), 90% rubbing alcohol(4-ish%), and Photo flow(around 1%) and rinse with distilled water. I think a proper cleaning would make this record sound a good deal better. But that’s just my opinion

Well, I can’t get the links to work cleanly, so the best way to listen is to copy the link and paste it into your browser.

I hope I’ve been clear and as transparent as I wished to be. Feel free to ask any questions and make an offer. I may be a little high on the price, or I may be just right.
