Description
"JOHNNY CASH SINGS WITH B. C. GOODPASTURE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL" Special Collectors' Album - Limited Edition with Color Poster Inside. This is a very rare Johnny Cash record (lp) that was produced as a fund raiser for Goodpasture Christian School in 1979. Goodpasture School is located in Madison, Tennessee just a few miles from Hendersonville which was the home of Johnny and June for decades until their death. They are buried a couple of miles from my home. Johnny did this record to help the school. This record is seldom seen and this one is really nice. This copy was purchased at the estate sale of Harold Bradley who was one of Nashville's most well known and desired session musicians. Mr. Bradley played on this record with Johnny. Mr. Bradley played the dobro, guitar, bass guitar, and banjo on this record. On the back of the album it also states that he "also gave invaluable assistance during these recording sessions." This copy is not sealed, but is in excellent condition and is still has the shrink wrap as well as the poster inside. There was one sealed record but it has already sold. Only one pressing was done and students sold them in 1979. This is my last copy and I don't expect to ever find another.
If you are a Johnny Cash fan, you should have this record in your collection. I especially like this copy because it belonged to Harold Bradley who was a neighbor here in Hendersonville. Johnny Cash was also our neighbor and I saw him often. Didn't really know him but he always waved or spoke. Super nice guy who helped a lot of people and did a lot for this community.
