I've been collecting records for 36 years. It's time to start selling some.
Up for bid is a RARE original PRIVATE PRESSING release on Stovepipe Records(ST0001). It comes complete with its custom inner-sleeve/lyrics. Outstanding and very, very difficult to find psych/folk lp. This is only the second copy I have ever run across in all my years of collecting. I have two copies(one of which I am keeping) and this one I was going to keep because it was still sealed. However, it looks like it has come into contact with some moisture, thus resulting in some staining/crumpling of the cover. It was driving me berserk wondering if the vinyl itself was okay so I had to open it. It is in fine, near mint UNPLAYED condition.
Recording artist Jeff White of Newfoundland recorded and released this lp in 1976. It consists of nine original compositions that are folk inpsired, with numerous psych and jazz flourishes throughout. White(vocals, guitar, mandolin) is accompanied by eleven other musicians on bass, synthesizer, celesta, pianos, clavinet, flute, drums, electric guitar, electric violin, violin, cello, harp, percussion and vocals. A truly impressive album that should appeal to fans of Nick Drake, Tim Buckley, Scott Walker and Fleet Foxes. Superb!
