Description

JETHRO TULL

AQUALUNG

(UK ISLAND, ILPS 9145, 1971)

RARE VERY FIRST UK PRESSING of Tull's masterwork!! This is the ultimate first pressing on the 'pink rim palm tree' Island label, which was withdrawn not long after release to be replaced with the Chrysalis release! There were probably less than 1000 of these made! They just never turn up now! This is not to be confused with the German pressing on the same label - this is a genuine UK pressing with the EMI matrix stampers! It also has the earliest possible matrix run-outs!! Don't miss out!

Vinyl is in VG+ condition : has light marks, scuffs and surface marks, plays well with some wear and surface noise (I'm being very strict here)

Textured gatefold sleeve is in VG+ condition : spine has light wear - partially legible, seams are a little worn but all intact, front and back have hardly any ring wear, light creases

Inner sleeve is in VG+ condition : disc imprint, creases, tape on bottom seam, left and right seams partially split at middle

Run-out grooves:

SIDE 1 - YAX 3419-2 stamped

SIDE 2 - YAX 3420-2 stamped

SIDE 3 - YAX 3633-3 stamped

SIDE 4 - YAX 3634-3 stamed
