Description
Up for auction is a 10" acetate pressing of the John Lennon / Yoko Ono / Plastic Ono Band ‘Power To The People / Open Your Box’ 45 on Apple Records.
Record info:
It is a 10" with 7" area grooves on the inside, the outer 3" are blank. There are quite a few fingerprints but it plays great on both sides and I would grade it a solid VG+. It appears to me to be the same mix as the commercially released version. There is no stock # anywhere nor does it list any country of origin but it's the tracklisting for the UK version of the single (with Open Your Box instead of the US 'Touch Me' b-side). All the notes though show dubs being sent to various US locations. Maybe the US b-side was changed before the commercial version was printed.
Cover info:
It comes in a plain brown sleeve with a two-sided handwritten info sheet that listed matrix numbers, times, and a variety of other technical info. It also has various 1971 dates to correspond with where some of the dubs went to (Capitol, NYC, Apple, etc.)
Label / Pressing info:
Acetate (I believe it glass not metal) with 2 holes which is the norm for acetates. It has handwritten info on both sides.

I grade conservatively. I’ve been selling vinyl since 1976. All records are cleaned with a VPI professional record cleaner and are shipped with records outside the covers to avoid seam damage.
Shipping for US customers $4 for media mail or $10 for Priority mail. For high value items I would recommend adding insurance.
International shipping will be $18. I reserve the right to request registered or courier mail for high value items and to some countries (Italy, Brazil, Russia) due to the unreliability of their postal services.
