John Williams ?– Jaws (Music From The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) (1975)
Original motion picture soundtrack LP to ‘Jaws’ (1976, dir. Steven Spielberg), composed by John Williams. This was the score that jumpstarted Williams' career, earned him an Oscar and was ranked the sixth-greatest score by the American Film Institute.
The classic thriller movie, based on the best-selling Peter Benchley novel, starred Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw and Richard Dreyfuss. It co-starred Murray Hamilton and Lorraine Gary.
Please note: this copy is a mismatch of a British 1st release disc (MCF 2716) and an American 1st release sleeve (MCA 1660).
Condition (refer also to notes at bottom):
Vinyl (MCF 2716): VG. Looks superbly clean on visual inspection. Lots of very light surface scuffs when viewed an angle on both sides but no major scratches or headlines. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is very good throughout. Some intermittent light surface noise during quieter cue and through side 1. Side 2 fares better with less interference. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking.
Outer Sleeve (Cover) (MCA-1660): G. Colours are clear and unfaded. Thick cardboard sleeve associated with US issues. Mild scuffing of edges, corners badly scuffed with small splits on some. Spine creased and scuffed. Aperture shows mild wear and one tear. Disc ring outline on front shows scuffing and dropout. Reverse side has similar scuffing and backing is unpeeling in bottom corners.
Inner Sleeve: VG. Original. White paper with rounded corners and central hole. A few minor creases/folds through normal handling.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
