1st original 1961 US mono pressing with 47 West 63rd NYC address on both labels

Wearless spindle hole

Deep Groove on side 2 (see pic)

According to Fred Cohen in BLUE NOTE records book this is a first pressing

Matrix / Runout (Side A): BLP-4059.A  9M  engraved by hand

Matrix / Runout (Side B): BLP-4059.B  9M  engraved by hand

RVG and "ear" machine engraved on both sides 

This thick, heavy vinyl retains its beautiful original sheen and looks carefully and hardly played

Side A

Excepting only one minuscule, extremely light, hardly visible under a strong bulb lamp and unfeelable sleeve scuff on the second track, the playing surface looks free of other noticeable signs of wear or handling as marks, scratches, groove wear

Side B

Excepting rare, extremely light, faint and unfeelable sleeve hairlines, the playing surface looks free of other noticeable signs of wear or handling as scuffs, marks, scratches, groove wear

Audio grade: NEAR MINT

Plays very clean on both sides with NO noticeable blemishes as tics, clicks, skips, surface or background noise

Superb high fidelity sound !

 This record comes in its original company paper inner sleeve

 Cleaned with CLEAR AUDIO VACUUM  MATRIX using its PURE GROOVE professional solution

COVER : VERY GOOD+

1st original solid, laminated front, cardboard rear jacket 

 The front side retains its striking, glossy original shape with NO laminate lifting

 Graded as such because of :

a minor amount of consumption to the left corners (less to the top !)

a neatly repaired slightest early flaking on the top seam

Bottom seam and fully readable spine with NO wear (see pic)

With NO ring-wear, NO seam splits, NO writings, NO stamps, NO holes

43 West 61st Street, New York 23 address on the back side with hints of age yellowing, not affecting the integrity of the graphics and rare, minuscule traces of superficial cracked paper along the left edge (see pic)
