Description
Not quite perfect but nevertheless a lovely original palm tree Island copy of King Crimson's third album, Islands. This very early A-1U/B-1U copy with 1A/1T mother stampers is a barely played EX+. There are NO spindle marks on either of these lovely labels and no marks to be seen on either side of the vinyl, even when viewed under strong halogen lighting. This copy has barely been played. The unlaminated single flipback sleeve is in strong VG condition - very flat with hardly a crease but just a little cornerwear and a tiny area of sticker loss at the top right of the front panel (see photos). There is a shop sticker on the inside of the rear opening flap. Despite these minor details this is a very fine example of this particular sleeve. The gatefold inner with inside opening to record pouch is almost as good as you will find these days. These inners are extremely delicate and are usually found in two halves or taped together; this inner is not perfect but is nevertheless a good example, with amazingly almost no creasing. There is a certain amount of foxing (hopefully to be seen in my photos) and the main fold has a quarter-inch split down the top and a three-inch split along the bottom. Good luck if you are bidding - please check out my other items.
