Title: Klaus Weiss Orchestra - I Just Want To Celebrate
Two LP-set,original german pressing from 1971 on BASF 4421247-5/1-2.Recorded live at Munich’s “Domicile”,this one’s loaded with funky bigband eurojazz,a killer line-up and monster-tracks,ft.club-tunes and breaks,a must-have if you are into stuff like Herbolzheimer’s RC&B!Please look for the first NIAGARA and for the 3 rare library records by K.Weiss I offer in my auctions(Golden Ring & Selected Sounds)!
Line-up:Chuck Findley, Ack van Rooyen, Palle Mikkelborg, Bob Lanese (tp), Slide Hampton, Barry Ross, Charles Orieux (tb),Ferdinand Povel, Don Menza, Herb Geller, Dick Vennik,Günter Kronberg (reeds), Fritz Pauer (fender rhodes), Philip Catherine (g),Lucas Lindholm (b), Klaus Weiss (d).
Tracks: Love is Blue-I Just Want to Celebrate- Flowers-Spunkwater-Sail on-Little Big Horns-You're All I Need to Get by-Eleanor Rigby - Superstar - The Cage - Imagine -Get It on.The tracks are arranged by:Bill Holman, Thad Jones, Don Menza, Ingfried Hoffmann, Don Piestrup and Fritz Pauer.
Condition:sides 1 and 3 look and play in mint-,sides 2 and 4 look mint--to ex+,each has one hairline and some sleevelines,both sides have a very low crackling behind the music only at the beginning,the rest plays in mint-.The beautiful laminated gatefold-cover shows a little wear on 3 corners but is otherwise perfect,overall mint--/ex+++.
Grading:this used record has been cleaned on a prof. cleaning machine.After that I playgraded it on a Rega Planar 9 with a Rega Super Elys moving magnet system and I also visually graded the record under a strong light.I give you a detailed description of both gradings.Only an unplayed record is mint,the highest grading for a used record is mint-! My basic gradings are:mint-ex-vg.As a free service,cleaned records are stored in a brandnew deluxe innersleeve and the cover will be placed in a brandnew PVC protection-sleeve!
