Kraftwerk- ‘Kraftwerk' Very Rare Original 1st Press on the Vertigo Swirl label - in superb condition !!!

Seminal double album release by one of the pioneering ‘Krautrock’ bands - arguably the ‘holy grail’ of their vinyl releases !!! Heavily influenced by Karlheinz Stockhausen and their contemporaries Can and Tangerine Dream - Kraftwerk ( the foundation for Neu ) have themselves immensely influenced the evolution of ’80s electronic new wave, as well as the emergent and continuous development of hip-hop, house and techno music.

This is a chance to own a very rare, much sought after album in great condition for its age !!!

N. B. : I will not offer a formal grading of records, as I have had several experiences of sellers, either intentionally or unwittingly, grading records well above their actual status, i.e. 'excellent' - when there are numerous surface marks etc. Instead I will attempt to offer as comprehensive and honest description of each aspect of the item for sale as I can, with the explicit statement that you can always contact me for further details should my descriptors appear insufficient or unclear. Additionally, my returns terms allow for items to be sent back to me if they do not reflect my listings evaluation and descriptions !!!

Record Condition ; The vinyl is in really great condition, having only just come out of storage as I'm only starting to list my albums for sale. There are only a few hairline surface marks and no major scratches at all, having evaluated visually against bright light. There is a scuff mark of around 0.4cm at the end of the very short track ‘Atem’ on Side 3, but on playing the impact of this is barely audible.

Label Condition ; Excellent !!! No spindle markings and in great condition with only some very, very slight discolouration near the centre of one of the album sides ( see photograph ! ).

Sleeve Condition ; Original pair of ‘Vertigo‘ spiral inner sleeves in great condition with some discolouration around the edges due to storage ! ( See photograph )

Cover Condition ; Excellent condition. Glossy finish, almost nil creasing and very minor wear at corners. A few very small marks on cover, but spine is nice and clear !

Aural Evaluation ; Played through very cleanly, sounded great, with some very mild crackles on Side 1 Track 1, and in very quiet passages, but no skips, pops or jumps at all !!

The album, sleeve and cover scents very MILDLY of some musky odour consistent with storage time - adds to the authenticity in my opinion !!!
