Spirit of Sound has recently acquired a number of single owner 78rpm Album Sets. The original owner, an amateur swing jazz musician, resided in the Cleveland, Ohio area and had an opportunity to see live in concert some of the great Jazz performers of the 30s and 40s. We have a signed copy of a Louis Armstrong set that you will have an opportunity to bid on. When the original owner died recently, the set was handed down to a son and, subsequently, on to Spirit of Sound. Most of theses sets are in prime condition! Bid with confidence!
Kid Ory and his Creole Jazz Band, Original 1947 Columbia (C-126) 4 Disc 78rpm Album Set with original cover artwork by renowned artist Jim Flora. Featuring Kid Ory on trombone, Papa Mutt Carey on trumpet, Barney Bigard on clarinet, Bud Scott on guitar, Montudi Garland on bass and Ram Hall on drums. Songs include: 'Bucket Got A Hole In It', 'Tiger Rag', 'Eh, La Bas', 'Joshua Fit De Battle of Jericho', 'Bill Bailey Won't You Please Come Home', 'Creole Bo Bo', 'The World's Jazz Crazy, Lawdy So Am I' and 'Farewell To Storyville'. Records are in EX condition, shiny with some minor scuffs and sleevewear. Album jacket is EX, solid, intact, with light wear on corners and edges. Very nice copy!
