Description
Kingdom come, Promo' debut Album, Signed Lenny Wolf & Johnny B. Frank + Paperwork. Polygram (KCLP-1) Made in England. A1/B1 run-off grooves. 1988.
1st press Gold stamp- Promotional Copy Not For Resale on sleeve, signed to Chris (Piccadilly Radio, Manchester, DJ) Lenny Wolf & Johnny B. Frank.
The back of the sleeve has writings added by Chris for his radio show, times of tracks etc. Also included is 3 sheets of paper (dated- 31/3/88) hand written by Chris with questions for the band for when Chis interviewed Kingdom Come on one of his radio shows at the beginning of 1988, questions about the music press, Lenny's first bands, Funhouse, Stone Fury, the musicians in the band and manager, the Magnum tour who Kingdom Come were touring with etc etc, there's also 2 sheets that were taken from a Rock magazine that Chris would have used for info' on the band.
This album was passed onto me from a friend Chris Tetley who apart from being a friend was also a Rock DJ on Piccadilly Radio, Manchester, UK. Chris had a huge collection of Rock albums, usually Promo' copies and usually signed by the bands, these were sent to him by the bands or their managers for play on his radio Rock shows.
Chris (who sadly passed away) started at Radio Caroline, toured extensively as a road manager with bands including Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne & Joe Cocker before joining Piccadilly Radio in 1977.
Condition- The album spins flat and plays Ex' with no problems, very tiny amount of surface noise only, very nice sound quality. The sleeve is in Ex+ condition with no damages, the spine is fully readably, very light signs of use only. The paperwork is in Ex' condition, no rips etc
A nice collectors item with a bit of history behind it.
