Description

An original 1st Issue of AUTOBAHN on UK Vertigo. Matrix 1/1. Etching 'Bilbo'. The vinyl comes housed in an original embossed cover. The 1st issue covers have the motorway symbol and band and title embossed. We have an original poly-line inner sleeve from the time too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are seriously quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A truly excellent player - you will not find cleaner. Maybe a couple of crackles in couple of isolated moments per side - but otherwise...pretty much perfect.
Cover (Vg+) These original early embossed covers have a bit of a rep for surfacing looking in pretty poor condition. This example still has excellent colour retention and white sectors haven't aged. On the front expect a bit of surface wear here and there over at the openings, and a crease bottom left. The rear looks better with no surface wear and a crease down the bottom right this time. Edge wear is very minor and the openings still sharp. The spine is in excellent order with all text perfectly legible. A couple of miniscule stress creases. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Lightest ageing. No splits.
