Led Zeppelin : Presence A1 / B2
This A1/B2 first pressing plays with immaculate Mint audio and is a final upgrade archive copy without doubt.
Released on the 'Swan Song' label the band name and title on the front cover and the 'Apollo' logo on the back are embossed as per the first/early early pressings.

Visual grading
This looks 'as new' and is visually stunning. There is only one faint spindle line on each label and has been hardly played, perhaps only the once. It has a superb glossy sheen and there are no hairlines or scratches at all. With that 'shop fresh' look it is incredible to think this vinyl is 42 years old. This is one beautiful vinyl! The labels and run out grooves are also spotlessly clean.
Play grading
From the very first note 'Achilles Last Stand' is absolutely stunning. The opening grooves are so quiet and yet there is no lead in static and it then proceeds to play with incredible power and separation. So often the audio can be affected due to this record being pressed on 'thin' vinyl but when you find one like this that has only been played once, perhaps twice there is no lessening in quality whatsoever. There is no 'muddiness' to the sound here and certainly no distortion and I am confident in grading this track as Mint- such is the depth and clarity on offer. Even the fade out has no 'background'! I am only using the minus because it isn't sealed! 'For Your Life' has audio of the same immaculate standard. There is no interference of any kind, no clicks, no pops or static/crackle. 100% breathtaking! 'Royal Orleans' ends the side in suitably impressive fashion and again there is no 'background' just a little 'tinny distortion' as I call it. Final tracks on any side often have this where the grooves are pressed closer together in order to accommodate the track on the side. It still plays superbly with no other issues.
'Nobody's Fault But Mine' has only the lightest of dust ticks on the intro and certainly cannot be classed as interference. It plays fantastically well with wonderful clarity and not a single click or pop. It then continues to play with the most sublime audio I have ever heard on this track. The depth of the recording and the strong bass are just incredible, it just plays so loud and true, the power and clarity is awesome! Wow!! 'Candy Store Rock' and 'Hots On For Nowhere' also play to perfection and infinitely another Mint- grading without question. The classic 'Tea For One' ends the side with 'high end' audio once more. There are so many quiet sections and yet they all play with the same exact precision. During the playback there is no static let alone any clicks etc. This is Mint audio at its very best and is a superb finale to an often underrated album.
In summary this is a final upgrade archive first pressing. I have never seen this vinyl in such pristine, immaculate condition and with no static or crackle and not even one click or pop the vinyl plays with superlative audio.
The Gatefold
The embossed gatefold is in lovely condition with very minor shelf wear only. The edges and wide spine are practically 'as new' and whilst there is a little fading around the perimeter of the front cover (very faint) it remains very clean with only one small mark. The back cover similarly has minimal fading in the same area and a faint dotted line mark just below the picture. The corners have no obvious rubbing and the opening edge has no handling wear. The inside of the gatefold is immaculate and is like new. Overall a great example of this gatefold and I have not seen many better.
Inner sleeve
This has the rough textured feel and is made of thicker paper that only the first pressings had. It has one small split on the right hand side but apart from that is very clean with no other wear.
The labels
They are both 'as new' with only one faint spindle trace on each side. No marking or writing.
