LED ZEPPELIN

EARLY FIRST PRESS

RARE TURQUOISE SLEEVE

SUPERHYPE CREDITS

UNCROSSED MATRIX NUMBERS 588171 * A1/B1

UK ‘STEREO’ 1969

 Sleeve Front – EX+/ Back – EX+

Front/back sleeve does have mild ringwear, some laminate cracks and lift to the pinched spine – this is typically standard now in these first pressing sleeves regardless of the overall condition. I have rated both sides EX+ due to the majority of the sleeve, both sides, being clean, bright and free from creasing with the exception of a mild crease top left front and bottom right front. The back cover is pretty much the same, a mild crease top left and bottom right. The top seam also has some creasing (see pictures). Overall it’s in brilliant condition for a 48 year old record.

This record has been in a re-sealable sleeve for 6 years. It remains in the same condition as purchased.

Inner Sleeve – VG+

* PLEASE READ *

Has browning to the edges front and back top and bottom left and right.

The noticeable thing about the inner sleeve, and are very rare, is the 1/069 print of the bottom corner. It was released in January 69. This is a genuine inner sleeve for this record from the first run.

Vinyl Visual – EX+

Both sides of the vinyl are very clean, shiny with one very small non feasible scratch on side 1 - mid track 3, it doesn’t affect the playback. Side 2 has two small hairline scratches. The vinyl is great condition, glossy, heavier first pressing vinyl.

Labels – EX

Clean, no writing or rips. Has some spindle lines both sides.

Audio – VG++

The album plays through fine on both sides with virtually no clicks, pops or jumps.  There is light surface noise in the quieter parts, both sides, more evident on track 1 - both sides for about 1min and 30s. Then it’s just faint between some songs and in quieter parts.

There is to be expected mild crackle on the run in/out both sides.

The record sleeve and original inner sleeve are in re-sealable sleeves.

 The vinyl is housed in a new anti static sleeve.
