I am pleased to offer, from the top draw of my personal collection, the brilliant Linda Hoyle's solo album 'PIECES OF ME'. Not only an ultra rare album but one of the prized Vertigo Swirl titles and highly sought after by serious collectors. If you’ve been looking for an excellent + Linda Hoyle 'PIECES OF ME' UK disc coupled with a very good plus sleeve at the least then look no further, as this IS the one is for you.
The non-laminated, MATT black gatefold sleeve is a VERY GOOD plus example. It has been stored since 1971. The gatefold sleeve is structurally strong. It lies flat WITHOUT ripples, bends or bumps. NO rips, NO splits. No bad corner damage. The spine is firm. There is some age fading of the matt black colour in areas of the sleeve, which takes the grade down from EX to the very good plus grade, but I’m confident that this sleeve will satisfy most collectors and although there are signs of age fading, it’s good that it as remained flat, square, and superbly defined.
The Vertigo Swirl labels are excellent. NO writing, no stickers, residue, pulls or rips. No damage at all. Lovely pair of labels!!
The vinyl is in a great EX + condition. The album has only been played by me a few times in its lifetime. The labels back this up. And the look of the vinyl adds further credence to the statement that this has hardly been played. Another factor is that under normal light conditions, it has a Fantastic shine, NO nasty scratches, NO nasty marks, NO craters or dimples. Visually, I’m confident you’ll agree with me when I give it a VISUAL grading of EX PLUS in everyday lighting conditions.
THE ALBUM HAS BEEN CRITICALLY LISTENED TO THROUGHOUT BEFORE LISTING AND I can report that on my system there is nothing to impair your listening enjoyment of the Album. Just a few light dust ticks were heard, deep in the background on a couple of the more softer tracks as the stylus moves through the age dust lying in the grooves. I am sure however that a couple of plays with a good stylus or a good clean would remove any dust and any single light tick would vanish. It really is nothing at all to be concerned about, but I wanted to give you an honest report. There is no noise from the stylus as it moves over the dead wax between each track. At the end of listening to the album, I can confirm the audio is as the vinyl looks, graded at Excellent +. It is clear and Linda Hoyle sings brilliantly and with great clarity on all tracks. The music is truly top notch. This is, without question, an amazing album with a big mixture of some seriously great songs. A fantastic listen on my turntable.
Supplied in its UK poly-lined Swirl inner which is in EX state, just age browning.
Don’t miss this one as it will prove to be a great investment. Although not new and mint, it really is in excellent plus condition.
