LINDA HOYLE Pieces of me - ultra rare original 1971 Vertigo swirl label LP by Affinity singer
Vertigo 6360 060, 1971 UK issue, matrix numbers 6360 060 1Y//1s420 1 1 1, 6360 060 2Y//1s420 1 2 3; gatefold sleeve.
One of only 300 copies pressed; features some members of Nucleus. First solo album by former Affinity singer Linda Hoyle, later turned art therapist (next solo album recorded 2013/4). Covers of songs by Nina Simone, Laura Nyro and Mildred Bailey plus eight Hoyle/Jenkins originals.
Cover EX+ Gatefold sleeve approaches near mint in condition: barely a mark on the edges, spine almost as new; sign of a small sticker removal on the front with some tiny marks; a few insignificant light marks on front and rear; the absolutely mildest of storage wear inside.
Disc is in a new poly-lined inner sleeve. When new this copy was supplied in a standard poly-lined inner, which is included (some discolouration, tanning down one edge, artist/title in neat writing in one corner).
Disc EX/EX+ Superb fresh, glossy appearance to vinyl with no obvious marks or blemishes. Fine labels with a mere suspicion of spindle marking near the centre hole. Tremendous sound and play performance with just the occasional light snick from dust or static, in some places a touch of faint background crackle.
