Presented we showed you a native of Dusseldorf psychedelic rock band Vibravoid already desöfteren here in RockTimes. Let's go due to the current release so the same again in the full ones. That 'current' is not necessarily with 'new' equivalent, has again timeliness. With " 2001 " the band's debut album is proved to his 15th birthday again the honor namely contrary. Rightly, this disc-founded not only the beginning of the now respectable back catalog of Rhinelander, but it is nevertheless also acted at least in the scene as the redefinition of psychedelic rock.
Before this first work Vibravoid was however already to ten years on the stages active, so you also could not speak of musicians who were still wet behind the ears. What we on 2001 see" is actually also psychedelic rock of the top quality, mostly presented in very brisk pace. When many of my esteemed colleagues report (in reviews on other albums) comparisons with Pink Floyd at the times of Syd Barrett, so diving with me regarding this first work but also repeatedly the space rockers Hawkwind in the mind's eye on. In principle makes (something in the background) a rock band consisting of drums, bass and guitar powerful alarm, while in the foreground waft and bubbling synths. The song was nearly 'buried' here in the mix is, it is true (except for the instrumental numbers) always present, but looks more like the voice of a dream, the late a few seconds, so little by little the Awareness really achieved.
Beautifully (as relaxed and less hectic) is the intro "Wokboy" with very soft drums, acoustic guitar and a flute-like dreamy melody. Though not necessarily in terms of vocals, the music anytime time of variety and inventiveness are entirely necessary. Definitely a great part!
This package has been prepared properly valuable by () several bonus tracks, which often consist of demonstration and alternative versions of album tracks, but also all in all five outtakes. And since these demos are all older date - once even to the year 1993 go back - you get of course also be interesting deeper insights into the evolutionary history of the band. ()
Whether 2001 actually reinventing or redefining the psychedelic rock of the year 2000 was, I would indeed be times undecided, but bekommnt the interested fan / buyer here exactly what he expected: a heavy (or zero gravity) Psychedelic Rock of extremely worn (yet pleasant, that is never annoying) way of, the inner self or wherever want consistently on a journey into the galaxies it also invites. That also is true value for money on offer, I had already mentioned, what then should no longer be a relaxed Fantasy Journey in the domestic walls stand in the way.
