Description
Here is an amazing rarity, the TABU EP from Lieutenant Murnau AKA Vittore Baroni!!! The 7" (Italy) comes complete with the amazing "50%" book/zine. LIMITED EDITION OF ONLY 150 COPIES EVER MADE!!!
The booklet is in EXCELLENT condition and still has its stickers, games and all the fun things that come inside. Has a Cabaret Voltaire puzzle and cool DIY cover art. The 7" is also in EXCELLENT condition.
The 7" says "Mind Invaders Bootleg" from Hideaway Muzik. The cat# is Trux 1180. Play graded Near Mint....there are three tracks on this EP....all very strange experimental avant garde/jazzy/ noise. Cool Italian voice samples mix with somewhat whimsical horns backed by a strange primal electro undercurrent. Fans of La STPO or DDAA will dig this.
NOTES/BIO: Vittore Baroni was an Italian mail-artist, copy artist, musician, critic and publisher AKA Mister Bizarro. who was among the first to write about industrial music and the new experimental frontiers. He is one of the most active and respected frequenters of the Mail-Art circuit since the late seventies.
He organized his first Mail-Art exhibition in 1979 in the ‘Forte dei Marmi’ town library. In October of the same year he published the first issue of his magazine Arte Postale! (1980-?). To house his own personal Mail-Art publications such as Arte Postale! and other materials related to his Mail-Art activities, Baroni created ‘Near the Edge Editions’ in 1978. He also released several “plagiarist” cassettes and records as the "multiple name" band ‘Lieutenant Murnau, a project that ended in 1984.
(Some biographical information obtained from Sztuka Fabryka (2005). Mail-Art Encyclopaedia.)
