This is a 1st UK pressing, 2nd label variant of Led Zeppelin I, released March 1969 on the iconic plum/orange Atlantic label. Identified by the Warner Bros./Jewel Music publishing credit (instead of the very first “Superhype” credit), this copy still carries the earliest A//1 and B//1 stampers, confirming it as a true 1st press.
The laminated cover was designed by George Hardie, featuring the now-iconic Hindenburg airship disaster image, and includes the original Atlantic inner sleeve with band photo and credits – often missing from later copies.
Condition:
• Vinyl: VG++/EX – play tested, strong playback throughout with only light crackle in quieter passages, no skips or jumps. Excellent sound with early UK punch and dynamics.
• Sleeve: VG+ – laminated front and back, minor wear only, spine text clear and legible.
• Inner Sleeve: Original 1969 band-photo inner present and intact.
This is one of the most desirable early Led Zeppelin pressings – an essential piece for collectors seeking the band’s debut in its true UK 1969 form.
