* This a very early first pressing from 1971 which has completely different labels and matrix than later pressings. Later pressings have the more common A//3 B//4 matrix and are pressings from 1972. This early pressing was changed even before release date, numbers haven’t been confirmed but it is understood there were only a few hundred ever made. The first thing to notice is that the “Under Licence From Atlantic Recording Corp U.S.A" is above the white line in the red part of the lable, later labels have this text inside the White Stripe. The second thing to notice is that the music credits were accidentally omitted on this early pressing. If you look below the track listing on either side it reads ‘Kinney Music’ only. This was a serious omission, on all later red/plum labels the credits were changed to Kinney Music/Superhype Music Inc. Perhaps the biggest noticeable difference is where the LED ZEPPELIN text is positioned, and the addition of the ‘Peter Grant’ credit, which was completely removed on later pressings. On this early lable the LED ZEPPELIN text is positioned towards the bottom of the lable and is relatively small, on later pressings the LED ZEPPELIN text is slightly larger and positioned towards the top of the labels just below the Four Symbols. Confirmation of this early pressing is the A//3 B//3 matrix, the record is pressed on thick quality vinyl. and is housed in the 1st Press 'Matt' Gatefold Sleeve.
SLEEVE/RECORD GRADING
I take great pride in accurately grading records, my feedback is testament to this accuracy, furthermore to give potential buyers a more detailed description of records, I grade both sides of sleeve and both sides of record. This gives a more accurate assessment of the overall condition of item. Sleeve is always graded first, any inserts are graded separately. 45rpm singles are graded as a & b sides, sleeves are not graded but are deemed to be in a reasonable condition as seen from photograph. All photos are of the actual item you are purchasing.POSTAGE & PACKAGING All records will be sent 1st Class Royal Mail unless otherwise requested. LP's sent in purpose made cardboard mailers with two sheets of corrugated cardboard to protect item. To protect sleeve all LP's are removed form sleeve and packaged alongside item, this prevents LP damaging sleeve in transit.
