Description

An original 1st issue of HOTH on the UK Atlantic label. Matrix A2/B3. Etching 'RL Sterling'. Please note the labels do not exhibit any perimeter text running into the upper-hemisphere and there's no WB logo either - this is indicative of 1st issue. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original matt gatefold cover. Also included is the original textured inner sleeve printed in England by MacNeill. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In great condition and clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. HOTH really needs a clean copy to do it justice particularly in 'RAIN SONG & No QTR'. We noticed nothing more than a couple of static crackles at the outset of RAIN and then precious little else through out the record. So this copy is very well preserved and very low mileage! Lovely clean audio and these classic tracks just pour out of the speakers. Nigh on perfect. A very fine and impressive rendition.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) In fantastic condition and it's not easy finding these matt covers looking nice and tidy. This example has clearly been carefully looked after. Lovely clean front with only super-light handling signs. The rear is equally good too with no creases - just some super-light handling signs. The interior is immaculate. Edge wear is surprisingly light and the openings are still sharp. The spine is fully intact and has not faded. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies totally flat. A beautiful example.
Inner (Ex-) A couple of light marks. No noticeable ageing. No splits.
