Description

Led Zeppelin II RL SS Robert Ludwig *Monarch Pressing* Vinyl Record LP
This album sounds amazing, the record does have some minor scuffs and scratches on it but is plays very well, hate to sell it as it is an amazing record. The Robert Ludwig mastering, with it's heavy bass sound, sounds incredible. The cover clearly has a cut out top right corner and on the seam there is a small split. I included a picture with the gatefold open to show the small split from the inside. The insert also has splits, visible in the picture. I tried to show the RL etching in my photos but it didn't show up so I didn't include it.  I am not a pro at grading albums for sure- I give the record (vinyl) VG+, the scuffs and light scratches could lower it to VG from VG+ but it plays great. I have included several pictures of the vinyl.  The cover is clearly just VG and the insert I am calling G only because it has 2 splits.  Album has been stored in a climate controlled, smoke free home. Please review all the pictures as this is the album you will receive. If you want more pictures, let me know, I will send more.
US 1st pressing, featuring Robert Ludwig's "hot" mastering on both sides. These were withdrawn early because the high bass levels caused low-grade cartridges to mistrack, leading people to return the album on the belief that it was defective. Another engineer was then hired to recut a much less "hot" version of the album, and that is the far more common version.

Labels include "MO" suffix (indicating Monarch pressing) and "Mfg By Atlantic Recording Corp., 1841 Broadway, New York, N.Y.". On all matrix Side A and Side B there is "MR" in a circle that identify a Monarch pressing. Runout details are etched except for the Monarch logo (MR in a circle) stamp.
LW etching appears sideways compared to other text.
