Description

An original 1st press of PG on the UK Swan Song label from 1975. Matrix A1/B4/C1/D1 - earliest known cut. Note how the labels are not exhibiting the Warners logo in the perimeter text - this is consistent with 1st issue. The vinyl comes housed in an original die-cut window cover with the 'Cullderstead address on the rear. Also included is the original inner sleeves and the white internal credit sheet. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex/Vg+/Ex) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level across THREE sides... On side 3 it seems as though there's been a bit more use and I'm detecting a bit of background in places. Nothing invasive, but don't expect these tracks to play quite as clean as the rest of the LP.. Overall a very accomplished rendition from this genuine 1st press. When on song it truly is a marvel. Tracks like Kashmir sound otherworldly and are rendered with precision and poise. Providing you can live with that dip in performance on side 3 - expect to be wowed.
Cover (Ex) In lovely condition and many true originals will not be looking this tidy after 45 years of use. The front is lovely and clean and unworn. Those die-cut windows often end up exhibiting wear and tear. Not here! This copy is tremendously well preserved. On the rear it is well above average too with just a small tear in the extreme top left [to the left of that horizontal crease]. I've secured this carefully with tape in the interior - it is now largely a small cosmetic issue now. These PG covers nearly always have worn spines with tearing at the tops. Not here! The spines are unworn, with all text fully legible, and no splitting at the tops. Overall the cover retains very good rigidity and it has manged to retain that box shape very well. 
Inners (Ex) No splitting. Just a touch of wear in one spot on both inners.
White Credit Sheet (Ex) Often found aged or marked - this example is in excellent order.
