Description

An original 1st Issue of PG on the UK Swan label. Matrix A1/B5/C1/D1 [you can get an A1/B4]. Please note - importantly - there's no mention of the Warners Logo in the perimeter text of the label. This is the clear indication of 1st issue from the chart run period. Well worth going for the earlier copies - they were pressed heavier and are nearer those pristine masters. The vinyl comes housed in an original die-cut Cullderstead box cover. We also have both solid card inners and the white credit sheet. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In marvellous condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slight marks per side, one slightly more noticeable mark [but not heavy] at the start of side 3 [which does briefly sound]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with a couple of deviations. Intros and inbeteeens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. One mark mentioned above does cause about 10 very slight ticks in the intro to 'In The Light'. I would argue this is very liveable - not really an issue unless you are someone who is incredibly fussy. And then one solitary tick in 'Trampled' and again in 'Kashmir'. Very clean signalled and for a highly popular title from '75...that's really quite something. Even into the lowkey slow build sections this example is delivering clean feed without background. FULLY crankable. I am literally lovin' it. Highly recommended.
Cover (Vg+) Not up to the standard of the vinyl, but still very respectable and tidy. Those die-cuts on the front are in great condition with little sign of wear or scuffing [ditto the rear]. Not much sign of surface wear either - which is nice. Edge wear is less than you tend to fid on this title. The only slight let down is the main spine. It is faded and exhibits a bit of wear [not bad, but not good]. Text sort of still legible. Overall the cover retains the box shape well.
Inners (Ex/Ex-) No splits. Really good condition.
Insert (Vg+) Seems to have avoided the ageing process. Bit of creasing at the top edge.
