Description

An original 1st press from 1976 on UK Swan Song. Matrix A2/B1/C3/D3. Label layout is spot on for genuine 1st press. The vinyl comes housed in an original textured and embossed cover. This is the original cover with photo pages in the interior and mention of 'made in england' on the back page. The 1st copies arrived with black inner sleeves with elliptical thumb notches. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In really nice condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a few very superficial markings per side - nothing heavy or troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of minor deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Don't short change yourself on this title. There are plenty of copies out there - but let me assure you that manufacturing quality is way better on the early copies. Plays with bags of energy and also a lovely quiet background for the most part. Stairway & Rain both play with a quiet background. No QTR plays really well with just a touch of slight presence early on, and a solitary tick. Actually very nice an clean much better than you typically tend to find. A couple of minor ticks late in Dazed & Confused. One solitary click during WLL. Overall - an excellent rendition.
Cover (Ex-) In superb condition - very few copies will be looking this darn smart. That front surface is in super condition with just slightest signs of wear at the foot [ditto the rear]. The interior looks superb with no signs of use and the photo pages look great and haven't been heavily thumbed. Hardly any edge wear observable and firm openings. The spine is fully intact with just slightest wear showing. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) Excellent condition. No splits.
