CONDITION
Disc
Labels: EXCELLENT
Both are clean & unfaded with a touch of wear around each centre hole but no further signs of wear.
Visual: EXCELLENT -
This disc has clearly been well treated and not overplayed as both playing surfaces are clean and free from any noticeable marks or wear when viewed in strong daylight. Closer examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals a 3mm scratch on track 2 of side 1, but little more than some harmless wispy hairlines. Both sides of this cherished copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT -
Unlike most non-UK pressings of the time, this disc has outstanding sound-quality and is comparable to the UK pressing. Clearly played on good equipment only, the sound throughout is totally free from any groove/play wear or crackle. In fact, the only fault on the entire LP are two small jumps on 'I'm A Loser' due to the aforementioned scratch. Without this minor distraction, I would have graded the sound quality as an easy 'EX+'.
Cover: GOOD/FAIR
This notoriously fragile cover is, as you can see, fairly tired but complete. There is a crude repair to the bottom of the front window and general shelfwear to all edges. The original shop price sticker (Fr 11,50) is still adhered to the front panel. The rear panel is clean & bright with again, wear to the edges but no other major faults. The inside of the gatefold is clean with no writing or missing paper. The centre hinge has a 4xm tear to the upper end and a 6cm one to the lower end. The spine is very worn with just a few characters remaining.
Front Panel Insert: EXCELLENT
Happily, this is in fine shape and apart from 2 small 'thumbnail' wrinkles is completely unworn.
Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD
This is the original with general storage creasing but no writing, tears or seam splits.
