Description
This is the twentieth studio album by the Texan blues guitarist and singer Lightnin' Hopkins. The album was recorded by Samuel B. Charters on January 16, 1959 at 2803 Hadley Street, Houston, Texas. Recorded on Folkway records with a 636 microphone.
This Album is amazing! This album has not been played that much! A part of Blues history in how it was recorded. It sounds like you are in the room as if he was playing for you. I believe this is a 200 gram- very thick vinyl. The record plays straight through! I have only played it 3 times! to play it safe i am marking it VG+ but i would say it is a bit higher? As you can see in the photos light wear on cover and light almost unnoticeable signs of use on album but does not effect play. I cleaned it with a hand held cleaner and immediately came to a beautiful shine- would be amazing to use a good machine cleaner. This is tough to sell for me but need the money for a big purchase. I would like to see this end up in the hands of a blues fan! Look up the history behind this great recording!
