US stereo import 1st release gatefold original soundtrack to ‘Oliver!’ (1968, dir. Carol Reed), featuring songs written by Lionel Bart and a score by Johnny Green.

The Best Picture of 1968 starred Ron Moody, Oliver Reed, Harry Secombe, Shani Wallis, Mark Lester and Jack Wild.

Condition (refer also to notes at bottom): VINYL: G-VG. Clean on visual inspection. A number of hairlines, marks and scuffs on each side but no deep scratches. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is very good overall, and good in places. A few light repetitive clicks in places (eg. during A6. Consider Yourself) due to surface marks. Run-ins have only very mild surface noise. Static and surface noise between cues and in quieter sequences. Some tracks sound cleaner than others but vocals sound great. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking.
OUTER SLEEVE/COVER: VG. Colours are clear and unfaded. Matt gatefold card sleeve featuring original poster release cover. Light nicks/creases to edges, corners and spine but no major scuffs. Aperture has few tiny nicks. Disc ring scuffing at top of front but no other damage here. Back outer gate is clean and unmarked. Inner gate left has a few dark marks and right insert sleeve has detached slightly from backing. Original owner has dated and handwritten name at top. A lovely example overall. INNER SLEEVE: VG-EX. Original. Colgems picture sleeve with square corners. Black and grey text printed both sides. Small split in centre of one side and tiny rip at aperture but nothing major and intact.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
