LOU DONALDSON - "Lou Donaldson Quartet Quintet Sextet" (features Horace Silver, Art Blakey)- Rare Original Bebop Jazz LP - U.S. Original 1957 First pressing on BLUE NOTE 1537 with No bar code, no cut out corners or notches or saw cuts. ..not a reissue...Absolute Original with Flat edge...Recording by Rudy Van Gelder ..."RVG" in the dead wax (see last pic)...Deep groove indentation both sides...767 Lexington Ave New York address both sides..."P" ("Ear") (Prestylite Pressing) etched in the dead wax (both sides)....thick inflexible vinyl....solid thick original glossy cover with awesome clear powerful rich Mono sound fidelity. (see pics) The complete package! Top 1st press Mono Original...part of a collection from the Kent Memorial Jazz Archive Library,U.S. where they kept great care of their records. See Kent Library official sticker (with Library's rare bar code for authenticity) on front cover and official authentic stamp on each label side .
CATALOGUE#: BLP-1537 Absolute First pressing original...not to be confused with any similar looking reissues.
VINYL: NM- / Strong VG++ to NM- Very glossy. Thick inflexible original vinyl. Some light hairlines found that are not feelable and do not affect play.
COVER: Very Strong VG++ to almost NM- No ringwear, barely any age discoloration. There are three very professional neatly clear taped seam splits (full top and spine seam, and one 3" bottom) which are more noticeable on closer inspection...from afar the clear tape blends in beautifully with glossy cover. Kent Memorial Library sticker with its library bar code located towards upper right hand corner.

SOUND TESTED:
1st Press Sound Fidelity. Bold, strong, clear, full rich mono sound fidelity. Plays as if it were close to Near Mint. Barely any surface noise at all. Plays great! Wonderful bass.
