Description

• Sixth album - released October 17, 1977. • 3 days later, their chartered plane crashed outside Gillsburg, Mississippi. • Ronnie Van Zant, Steve Gaines and Gaines sister Cassie, a backup vocalist, were all killed in the crash, other members of the band injured. • Cause of crash was either fuel shortage or problem with the plane's mechanical gear. • The cover for Street Survivors pictured the band surrounded in flames and after the crash the cover was TOTALLY CHANGED. • Original flame cover album - STILL IN ORIGINAL SHRINKWRAP & NEVER OPENED. • I PERSONALLY bought this album within an hour of hearing about the crash in 1977.
