Description
Lynyrd Skynyrd "Second Helping"
This is an original US vinyl pressing on Sounds Of The South 413 from 1974. This is a first pressing of their second album. What a great record. It starts with the rock and roll anthem : 'Sweet Home Alabama' ( Did you know that Clydie King and Merry Clayton sing background vocals on this !!). It has their first single :'Don't Ask Me No Questions". There is the song that got them their record contract : 'Workin' For MCA'. One of the best electric blues songs ever : 'The Ballad Of Curtis Lowe'. And it ends with the J J Cale classic : 'Call Me The Breeze'. Every song is good. It's one of the best albums in rock and roll. It was produced by Al Kooper. This record is so good that it's hard to find mint.
Overall Condition is : Cover is M- / Record is M
The cover is Mint minus with no ring wear, no writing , and no seam splits. The bottom left corner is bumped. The vinyl looks mint and it plays mint. The labels are clean with a few light spindle marks. The record comes in an MCA inner sleeve.

About Me :
I started collecting records in 1966. I started selling in Goldmine in 1985. I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby. And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon. My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.
Packaging :
I take great care on every package and I do each one personally. I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard. One sheet is 5/8 inch thick triple strength industrial cardboard. The other sheet is 1/4 inch double strength cardboard. Together they are very strong and unbendable. ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! ) I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic album sleeve. The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides.
