I really "value" my records and would never sell anything I thought was poor quality BUT I've had a "nasty" experience when someone challenged my integrity. An LP I sold which was faultless and played really well, I was told was "defective" and the buyer demanded a refund. So, now, I'm erring on the side of caution, I am giving each buyer a clear description, at the time of purchase; hope you dont mind ? Jon26564 my last buyer left useful feedback.
THE MANFRED MANN LP....When you take it out of the sleeve & original inner protector, you will find a 54 year old LP which is very clean with a nice sheen. In daylight it looks great; however under a bright spotlight you will find the usual scuffs, and hairline surface marks & scratches. Often pays not to look at it this way !! BUT I'm being careful and open; as a vinyl expert once told me "the sound is located at the base of the groove, the stylus interacts there, so surface impediments dont have much effect". Playing it on my 1964 BUSHSRP31D, recently serviced & with new stylus ....IN MY OPINION....all tracks play well and with no real impediments; the run-in, between and run-out have very very marginal (what you would expect) groove noises. .Of course if played on a more sensitive hi-fi, things may be different. 1966 LP's were not designed for Hi Fi.. All I know is that I'm pleased with the sound; but we both know this USED LP is over half century old.
The sleeve is a little "chewed" on the opening edge and bottom corner (see photo)
Many other copies on ebay are more costly and I looked at that before I listed it and made a valued judgement about a price to sell. I'm gradually thinning out my collection and would rather price wisely
