Record is in still very good to excellent Condition but exhibits many very fine Hairlines and some expected light general Agewear. Labels are in excellent Condition.
Original LP Cover has a small Split on Top of Cover but, besides that, is in still very good to excellent Condition with some expected light Ring-and Agewear to be noticed.
MANTIS were a Fijian Rock Group that came to Wellington and took up a Residency at one of the Clubs. While they were in Wellington they recorded this megarare Album in 1973 called "Turn Onto Music". It was released on the Spaceship Vertigo Label and has since become one of the most sought after and most elusive of all PROGROCK Albums ever to come out of New Zealand or from Downunda.
The striking iconic Artwork has entered into Folklore amongst rare Record Collectors from all over the World, making it a highly desired Artefact.
The Type of Music they play is perhaps best described as somewhere between heavy Guitar Prog Rock and Proto-Funk, an absolute Brainchiller!
Because of it's insane Rarity (when did you ever see a Copy for Sale - anywhere??)
I will start bidding at a very conservative, relative low Price for this Album.
All I can say, good Luck to the happy Winner because you're unlikely to ever see another Copy come up for Sale in a Lifetime!
Incidentally, if you do win this LP, as suggested on the Back of the Cover, play this Album "MANTISSIMO"; I guess that means "loud baby!" in fijian.
