This auction is for the following rare and hard-to-find vinyl LP by The Upsetters:

Cover Grading: EX (Excellent)
The cover really is in excellent condition (especially considering it’s now 45 years old). It has no fading or discolouration and only a little light wear – just a few minor marks and light creases.
Vinyl Grading: EX (Excellent)
Visual: The vinyl is clean, bright and shiny with only a few very light surface scuffs visible (even under artificial light). What appears to be a small liquid spillage mark on side 1 is actually a flaw in the vinyl itself. Marks around the spindle hole indicate this record has probably only ever been played a few times.
Aural: The overall sound quality is excellent/nearly new throughout with only an occasional very faint click or hint of surface crackle – apart from track 5/side 1 (Cloud Nine), which does have surface crackle throughout. However, this is almost certainly due to the poor quality of the original recording as the recording levels on this particular track are way off (the sound fades in and out throughout). Given the very good aural quality of the other 12 tracks, it seems most likely this was a previously recorded track that was used purely as a “filler”. There are certainly no marks at all on the vinyl which could account for the surface crackle on this track.
Please note that, although only 12 tracks are listed on both the cover and label, there are actually 13 tracks on this LP: there is an untitled 7th track on side 2.

A Note On Gradings
All my used records are graded using the UK Record Collector magazine grading system. This system does not use + or – symbols (e.g. VG+ or EX–), or terms such as “Near Mint”; it uses only Mint (M), Excellent (EX), Very Good (VG) and Good (G) for collectable records. I am continually surprised by the number of Ebay sellers who claim to use this system, but who then fill their listings with + and – symbols!
Please also note that (unless otherwise stated) all my used records are aurally graded and are always graded very conservatively. I do not knowingly sell any records that stick, jump or do not otherwise play properly and also try to list all obvious faults to ensure buyers are happy with their purchases, not disappointed as I have been on more than one occasion when buying used records on Ebay. In fact, I know from personal experience that my VG is better than a lot of other sellers’ EX+! I have sold over 350 records on Ebay since 2001 and have not yet had a complaint about my gradings.
