Description

Mary-Anne: "Me - Mary-Anne" 1970, UK/Joy 162. Disc has some light hairlines, plays M-, it gets an EX grade. Laminated flipback cover has some little creases around the front, bottom corners are a bit frayed, back panel has some little pen marks in the upper corner, still EX overall. Engaging female folksinger/guitarist from Scotland has slipped under the radar of many, this LP is easily as good as Vashti Bunyan's and in a similar bag. Some tracks have a childlike playfulness, others are dark and creepy and these are pretty mindblowing... "Black Girl" in particular comes across as some sort of pagan seance soundtrack. Better bid quick before I decide to keep this one.
