As Beatle fans know, the original FIRST PRESSINGS of this all time classic album were produced without the BMI and/or ASCAP publishing credits on the Side One and Side Two round record labels. These first pressings are quite limited and highly desirable.
What came before even THESE pressings are the first truly original initial pressings, that were sent out to radio stations and sales reps. These earliest copies were referred to as a "PROMOTIONAL ALBUM-NOT FOR SALE"--well, THIS ONE IS!!!
An interesting note: Capitol was in such a hurry to get this one out that the Side One record label is off-center!
This is one of those scarce PROMOTIONAL copies, and is marked so on the back cover (see scan). These promos endured a lot of handling--as you would imagine--and this cover shows some seam and spine wear, as a result. But overall, it is still in GREAT condition (see scans). However, the disc, its labels and the original blue paper dust sleeve remained well protected (somehow), and are in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION (see scans)!
